Wherein I review: New Vaudeville, Black Bonnet

I should note at this point there's only a couple of days left of the Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival, so I encourage all reading this to go down and check it out if you haven't. The cost is fairly inexpensive, just get that $3 button, then $10 for each show (all those tens go to the performers) and see as many or as few as you want to or can afford.

Wednesday I had time to catch one IndyFringe show, making my way down to The Earth House, by Lockerbie UMC at East and New York streets, to catch Crossing the Bridge, by Leonix Movement Theatre Ensemble of Los Angeles.

Wherein I review: Kevin Kling, Worst Show in the Fringe, Sex/Death, Phi Alpha Gamma, Wanda & Rhonda's Bingo Bash

Ran short on time yesterday, so will finish what I saw Sunday night at the IndyFringe festival in downtown Indianapolis:

An Evening of Stories and Song with Kevin Kling and Simone Perrin (Phoenix Theatre)
If you can make it to the final performance, 7:30 p.m. tonight, by all means do so!

Wherein I review Andrea Merlyn's Greatest Hits (and missus), Blunder Construction, Welcome to Blanksville, The Hefner Monologues, Waiting with M'Godot.

Wherein I review: Phil the Void: The Great Brain Robbery; Hypothetically Stupid; 7(X1) Samurai.

Here's the rest of what I saw Saturday at IndyFringe in downtown Indianapolis.

Wherein I review: Sex, Dreams and Self Control; Come See Our Show or the Teddy Bear Gets It; The Cask of Amontillado; Mr. Charles, Currently of Palm Beach; murder, hope.

I put in a full day of "Fringing" on Saturday, seeing shows at ComedySportz and Theatre on the Square, while my companion Wendy caught a show at the IndyFringe Building, all on Mass Ave. in downtown Indianapolis.

From a look at the preview "sampler" last night down on Indy's Mass Ave., it looks like this year's IndyFringe will be a lot of fun.

Tonight is the launch party/preview of the Indianapolis Theatre Fringe Festival, a/k/a IndyFringe on Mass. Ave. in downtown Indy.

Before I conclude this series I'll ask a question: Were you there?
If you attended GenCon this last weekend, please post a comment with your impressions (adding your name optional).

I managed to pace myself this time, so I wasn't too wiped out when I came back to work today. Look for reviews on the dozen or so games I picked up in future blog posts and the Daily Reporter's Christmas gift guides.

I attended Congressman Donnelly’s town hall meeting in Kokomo on the subject of healthcare reform. I thought the Congressman did an excellent job of maintaining relative civility amongst the participants. It was not an easy task.
